This CD is set up with a very interesting cover insert. The insert features on each page, very detailed art from the series along with credits for the show as well as the CD. In the middle of the insert are the Japanese lyrics for the song Pulse. The cover art, as well as the first page inside cover, and the back cover are all beautifully done renditions of Sharon Apple.

This CD is what Sharon Apple was to Macross Plus, the true Pop icon. Not J-pop as the bubbly form that most often appears in anime soundtracks, but the true form that rivals the Pop icons of American music today. For a soundtrack that is more than 10 years old, it seems to have gripped the feel of the musical setting of today. The music encased in this little CD does have something for everyone, with the soft romantic tones of Voices it reaches the pure romantic in us all, with the soft jazzy styling found in Nomad Soul it brings out the jazz lover in everyone it touches. And let’s not forget the more rock type chords found in Idol Talk. A collection of music ranging from Pop, to Soft rock, to the faster more primal beats of a rock concert, that belongs right here on our radio stations today.

I'd have to say that this collection gets me going, and keeps me there with it’s jumps from one genre of music to another.
