Magnet, the genre distribution arm of Magnolia Pictures, has grabbed the North American rights for the Swedish horror Let The Right One In, says the Hollywood Reporter. Director Tomas Alfredson's Swedish-language horror film was based on the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel, who also penned the screenplay adaptation. Bavaria Film International repped sales of the European Film Market project and negotiated the deal with Magnolia's Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.
Plot Concept: Set in a rundown suburb of Stockholm, Let The Right One In is a very romantic story containing strong violence and elements of horror. It tells the story of Oskar, a bullied boy who finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful and peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.
