
David Maisel -- executive vice president, office of the chief executive, Marvel Entertainment -- expressed optimism over the future of the Spider-Man and X-Men movie franchises after their third movies. "Obviously those films have done tremendously well and made signficant amounts of profits for our partners, Sony and Fox," Maisel said during Marvel's third quarter conference call on Monday. "So I would be under the assumption that they would very much want to continue those properties in an aggressive manner."
