The more I see Henry Cavell, the more I think they got the right guy to play Superman.  Ditto Amy Adams, one of the most approachable, emphatic actresses in films.

I like Cavill as Superman, but I think Snyder is a very bad choice as director. He can't do characters to save his life. Makes m e not look forward to Superman/Batman

Just watched this video & if this was the non-boring stuff then, whew, the rest must induce a state of catatonia.

I really hope DC hire's Gina Carano to play Wonder Woman that would be a perfect choice.

I knew they pretty muc weren't going to tell you anything here about the upcoming movie.

Various actress are auditioning for the WW role some I don't think are right but we'll see.

Ditto @spiderhero on Cavill and Snyder.

Snyder needs lessons from Whedon as to how to build character, especially the secondary ones. Every one of the Avengers' characters seemed well-defined, despite have six main characters (Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Cap, Black Widow, Hawkeye) and at least four secondaries (Loki, Coulson, Fury, Hill). The world-weary guard that found Banner after his Hulk-out had more presence and development than Perry White did for cryin' out loud! Perry could have been any unnamed generic newspaper guy and it wouldn't have altered the experience one bit. He didn't do one thing or utter one line that set him apart from everyone else.

I know this might be heresy to many of the Man-of-Steel fans but: check out the first interview between Supes and Lois in MOS and campare that to the first interview between them in Superman:the Movie. Donner's film had a lot of flaws, agreed, but it was brimming with character.

Please, MOS fans: demand more because once they make the second movie and Synder further sets the sterile tone for what follows, DC's cinematic universe is going to be built on a weak foundation that will scream for reboots way before it should.

I'm expecting Superman/Batman to be a spectacle without substance.

JTime: What's even worse is that Snyder brought in Frank Miller as a "consultant." So the guy who can't do characters brings in a guy who makes every character a grumpy #$$ degenerate. Oh, yes. I can't WAIT to see this team-up...

@JTime, Whedon is amazing but how can we accurately measure how he built characters when there were multiple movies leading up to Avengers. I also felt that Widow in Avengers had the least interesting story and felt very forced. "I have red on my ledger" was her tagline. LOL. I remember a hand full of my friends and family not understanding a lot about the characters in Avengers because they hadn't see the earlier movies. Like I said Whedon is awesome at writing but I think it's a different scenario.

 that artwork sucks dudes... lol

Shellhead88 11/11/2013 12:21:18 PM

I'm sorry but Snyder is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors. I enjoyed the watchmen movie more than the graphic novel. Man of Steel was the Superman movie I have been waiting for. I like the orginals just fine. I just get tired of the gee golly Louis Superman, or the crybaby, I'm not worthy Smallville Boyscott Superman. This was the no apology take action Superman I've been waiting for. Yes I even liked Sucker Punch.
