I am neither a Marvel or DC fanboy...i am a comic book geek through and through and this trailer was epic.  Cannot wait!

I am totally a Marvel all the way, but this trailer gives me  To say the least.

THIS IS SO FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of those times when I feel the filmmakers were reading my mind and implemented the ideas that have filled my head. My thoughts on Superman for some time have been "What if Superman really existed?" and with Nolan as producer that appears to be the route Snyder is taking. It is real, yet also epic in its presence. It is the epic of the Man of Steel updated for modern times. I've loved the Donner movies but even back when I first saw them I kept thinking there were parts that were too silly. Silly Luthor and moronic Otis were kind of like what an adult who has never read a comic book thinks one is supposed to be like. Here's hoping that the actual movie lives up to the enjoyment I got from this trailer.

GoldenEyez, everytime I saw Neo lift off like he did in The Matrix I kept thinking that is how Superman should do it-like a demi-god with slo-mo majesty.

"Up,up and away!"

Before I read any comments here I know people are going to be wha, wha, wha how does he shave - even though that's been answered a hundred times. My question is if Superman is invincible how does he have dead skin cells to form finger/toenails and hair?

Another thing.  I think WB having all their DC properties under one roof is both a curse and a blessing. One I think it'll make us see less DC based movies as I'm sure WB wouldn't want to put too many superhero movies of there own let alone out with other studio's superhero movies.  At least with Marvel we can get Fox Studio, Sony Pictures, Marvel Studios and so on all in the same year sometimes as well.

Okay - one more thing. I thought that the Wachowski's said that Neo's flight and stuff was a homage to Superman. So - it's not really copying - is it?

Well, from the trailer, I can see it'll be better than Superman Returns, but that's about it. Like in the comics, Marvel just has a better lineup. about we not celebrate till there's something to actually cheer about, huh ? Oh and Mr. "I will make you wish you never came here", give me one reason why I shouldn't just shrug it off and save me money for the Cap and Thor sequels, and Ironman 3, and Wolverine, and X-men first class 2, and..wait is all that coming out next year or did I skip over some DC stuff ? I'm sorry, my "marvel fanboy"-isms are showing, I'll be quiet now. lol

@Bsstin, for the most part i could give a fuck less if you do or don't watch the man of steel movie. it's your money your time your choice. like i care what you do NO" i don't is that simple.

I am still on the fence with this.  I know I am in the minority here but I just dont like Superman that much.  Never really have.  I am sure I will see this, but my mind is far from blown by this trailer.  Maybe seeing the trailer on the big screen will change my mind.  I also really hope they tie this to JL, but I will not believe it until I see it.  I just dont think they have the balls to do that just yet.  Too soon to reboot Batman also.

SarcasticCaveman 12/12/2012 3:15:10 AM

Okay...I thought the previews for Superman Returns looked good, and it ultimately let me down...that said, this looks like Man of Steel could be a huge game changer for Superman on the big screen...can't wait.
