By: Jarrod Sarafin
Date: Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Source: Hollywood Reporter

Screenwriters Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay are no novices to the world of comics, having created the comic R.I.P.D. which is being developed by Universal Pictures. The duo are now adapting other authors' comics to the big screen with HR reporting the team set to adapt Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's The Boys. Neal H. Moritz and his Original Films shingle are producing the project for Columbia Pictures.

Plot Concept:
The comci follows the adventures of a CIA squad, known informally as "the boys," whose job is to keep watch on the proliferation of superheroes and, if necessary, intimidate or eliminate them.

Good god I hope they get this one right.

If not, it could be really, really bad.

I love me some Ennis, as long as we get the trademark humor and violence this should work out just fine

This is a terrible idea!!!! (Especially since I was drumming up support to help buy the rights to film this myself : ( )

But to be honest, since this has always rung to be "Sopranos meets Heroes" wouldn't it be great to make this an HBO series?
