Screenwriters Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay are no novices to the world of comics, having created the comic R.I.P.D. which is being developed by Universal Pictures. The duo are now adapting other authors' comics to the big screen with HR reporting the team set to adapt Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's The Boys. Neal H. Moritz and his Original Films shingle are producing the project for Columbia Pictures.
Plot Concept: The comci follows the adventures of a CIA squad, known informally as "the boys," whose job is to keep watch on the proliferation of superheroes and, if necessary, intimidate or eliminate them.
