Director James Mangold---the man behind the recent 3:10 to Yuma remake and the Oscar nominated Walk the Line---has a new thriller on the horizon. Universal Pictures has David Auburn penning the screenplay for The Archive while Mangold is waiting to direct. Scott Stuber will produce with Cathy Konrad, who teamed up with Mangold on his two previous films mentioned above.

Auburn adapted his 2001 play into the screen version of Proof  and also scripted The Lake House for Warner Bros. Stuber recently wrapped production on Joe Johnston's The Wolfman, the Brandon Camp-directed Traveling and the Miguel Sapochnik-helmed Repossession Mambo.

No plot concept was given for the time-travel thriller "Archive" but when one is available, we'll pass it along.

I like time travel stuff and I liked 3:10 to Yuma, so I'm already interested, but it seems like this is really early. This might never even get made.

Hmmm... from the writer of THE LAKE HOUSE.
Yikes!
That's not a good sign.
I liked 3:10 to Yuma but the plot had more holes than Christian Bale in the last scene.
How many times could Russel Crowe's character get free and then give himself up again?
