Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah.......Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah.......Harry Potter........GOODBYE..............

DC/WB, should make "Kingdom Come"'s the only story line I'd be intersted in seeing.

I hear ya Violator.  I would have said that both Green Lantern & the Flash were more popular than Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Black Widow combined before the movies came out.  Probably not the case now with respect to Thor and Iron Man, but that is just this guys opinion.  I'm sure it all comes down to what you grew up with as to what side of that fence you are on.  I'm sure I'm just as wrong as the next guy.  :)

I kind of laughed at Mike & Mike in the Morning on ESPN yesterday, though.  They got to arguing on wether or not Batman was a superhero.  I found myself actually agreeing with Greeny for a change...

@ jedibanner

I think you should put your Marvel bias on hold for a while bro ... DC have a smaller stable of characters but some like The Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter are (were) definitely more popular than characters such as Widow, Hawkeye, Ant Man and Vision (etc).

DC movies and JLA in particular would work - as has been pointed out DC/Warner should get their act together, plan well, get the right personnel and execute. This silence from Warner and their apparent lack of vision is baffling.

Yup its funny which side of the fence you fall into on certain things. It depends on your life experience and events. Apple/Microsoft, CocaCola/Pepsi, DC/Marvel, Rep/Dem, Sports teams, etc. Most of us def wont change our views now. At least can we all agree its a good thing that a CBM is on top and this may bring more readers to the medium?

Jedibanner, I don't get why you'd think that solo movies with Aquaman and The Flash wouldn't work.  Last I checked not only are they among the most popular DC heroes but they each have their own comic title, so I don't see why they couldn't work on the big screen.  It's just a great lack of imagination on the part of WB which shouldn't surprise anybody.

Screw Coke/Pepsi, the real choice is between Mountain Dew/Mellow Yellow.

For the record, Mountain Dew used to be known by another name: ambrosia - because it is the nectar of the Gods!

Coke over Pepsi, though.  ;)

My all time favorite debate (My apologies in advance to anyone who is sick of this subject)

Kirk or Picard............

Wiseguy 5/10/2012 8:42:54 AM

Coke>pepsi, it was a time when I wouldn't even go to BK simply because they served pepsi. Now Coke rules

Kirk>Picard, I'm just old school

Marvel>DC but in truth I love both

SW>ST but again I love both. SW just seemed more epic, guess making it to the silver screen really helped

Kirk = Picard,

Honestly, I would have LOVED to have seen Bruce Greenwood have a go as Capt Pike.  He just seems like a cool cat in that role in the latest ST movie.  And besides, he's my second favorite voice for an animated Batman.  And his first name is Bruce, to boot! :)

Coke but actually not into fizzy drinks anymore

BTW is there a new star trek series on the way? I google it but just keep coming up with the failed SInger project

karas1 5/11/2012 7:27:39 AM

I don't like cola so neither coke nor pepsi for me.

As for the other debates, it depends on my mood.  Kirk was an action hero while Picard was a diplomat, apples and oranges.  ST vs SW?  Love em both.  Marvel vs DC?  I prefer DC but I like Marvel too.

Mint chocolate chip vs rocky road?  Who cares?  Pass the ice cream, it's all good.
