I have an idea, lol, has anyone posted that Kevin Smith should direct a Marvel movie?

Wyldstaar 5/30/2012 4:45:57 PM

Not recently, plus I can't imagine that happening.  Kevin has already walked away from directing a Green Hornet movie because with any big budget film comes a lot of studio interference.  He's always done his movies his way, even if it means working with a smaller budget.  If Kevin Smith does anything Marvel Studios related, I'd expect it to be directing one of the various live-action TV shows that are in the works.

If Smith were to decide he was interested in doing one, it wouldn't be anytime soon.  He's already got the Jay & Silent Bob animated movie in the works, and continues to work on the latest draft of Hit Somebody.  There's also the second season of Comic Book Men, and his movie review show on Hulu starts next week.  Between all that and his various live shows and podcasts, Kevin doesn't have time to sleep.  Adding yet another movie into the mix might kill him.

I dont think this spidey movie can beat TDKR worldwide but things are just happening for Marvel - who knows? I know Wise will be delighted if that happens :)

Would have like Kevin Smith to do a Green Arrow movie ... he did a fantastic reboot for the comics

@Wyldstaar - Thanks for the info, amigo!

@vitieddie - I have to agree with you even though I dont want to, lol. I'd be shocked if Spidey THAT good and Bats THAT bad

I may have a RAGE ON for the Avengers, but Spidey beating the Bat....no way...or I should say...I wouldnt bet the RENT on it, lol.

The Dark Knight falls from third domestically tonight Friday Harry Potter may lose its spot too tonight but most likely it'll fall over the weekend.

The Avengers are just 900k for passing TDK

Wyldstaar 6/2/2012 9:37:44 PM

And it's done.  The Avengers is now in third place on both the All-Time Domestic and Worldwide Box Office lists.

How long can it hold that position?  How long till Avengers 2: Electric Boogaloo?

DarthoftheDead 6/4/2012 2:22:57 PM
