I think MIB 3 will win next weekend, not that I think Iit'll be any good, but I belive that will happen.

 avengers, if it stays on par with The Dark Knight in it's monetary growth, may actually surpass Titanics orginal domestic numbers. With the summer movies though I figure it holds around 550.. but if it actually stays in theaters long enough there is a decent go of it. 

I also think Avengers will take the fastest to 500m from Avatar too, it has 15 days to do it.

I think MiB3 will be pretty good.  Not great, but closer to the fun of the first instead of the retread of the second.  It should probably win the weekend, but Avengers will still have some legs for a few more weeks.  Gotta admit that my prediction of TDKR beating Avengers after the long haul is a bit of a long shot now, but I do suspect the strength of TDKR will have longer legs, if not bigger ones.  :)

I saw the Dictator last weekend ... it wasn't as good as Borat but it was funny ... there were the usual outrageous jokes but this time its more of a movie and less of that reality-thingy ... there was a big jab at american politics near the end that may have put off american viewers and critics ... but its SCB ... you know what you gonna get ... it didnt soar but it was quite enjoyable ... 3.5/5

Still hoping for a close tussle between harry and avengers for the world wide 3rd spot (gosh, WB is reduced to this aye) ... with MIB 3 out soon and some heavy hitters taking out cinema space in the following weeks, US BO should slow down significantly ... anyone know how much Japan pumps into a blockbuster? 

They should´ve made a cat and mouse style of movie ala "Hunt for Red October" with some bayesque explosions and stuff. I haven´t see this but look more a Transformers meet ID4 thing.

I'm so thrilled that Battleship tanked so badly. Sadly, it probably won't sent the intended message to studio execs because it made it's budget back overseas already.

@ vitieddie, I've been seeing estimates of $1.5 to 1.7 billion worldwide for Avengers and between $550-580 million domestic.  Guess we'll have to see how well it holds up over the next several weeks.

Dazzler, I was interested in Dark Shadows but was detered by reviews.  You actually thought it was pretty good?
