Pacific Rim is doing worse than I thought it would. A 57% drop usually isn't bad for tent pole films but that's only when they open huge. When you open below 40mill a 57% drop is huge.

Feel bad for Reynolds, I like him

I'm hitting the theater hard this week, a lot of catching up to do.

I took my son to see Pacific Rim. It was perfect for him Robots vs Monsters.  I liked it but didn't love it.  I wanted to support the movie but would enjoy it more in my living room.  That Professor guy was way over the top.

I saw RIPD and it was pretty cool. Nothing amazing, but I liked it. Pacific Rim action scenes were amazing. But everything else was like "WTH?" A lot of way over the top comedy moments. Didn't expect that at all.

I didn't see RIPD or Turbo, but neither was because of Reynolds, Its because the movies didn't look that good.

Bring on the Wolverine!

Apparently Pacific Rim is doing decent overall with overseas tickets...almost made it's budget back and still hasn't opened in some major countries.  Too bad U.S. audiences don't know a good time when it's right in front of them.  The movie is what summer flicks are all about!

Hopefully RIPD finally cements the notion that Ryan Reynolds is NOT an action star! And hopefully Marvel and DC will keep him far away from any of their poperties in the future!

The family and saw Turbo this weekend and actually liked it better than DM2 or MU.  It was better than expected and hope more people go see it.

The wife and I saw The Conjuring and it was good.  Not overly scary, but a good story to keep you interested and hope for the best for the characters.
