Most people think he's dumm but he's actually pretty down to earth but also pretty smart.

Great interview! I've always known he is quite intelligent but you rarely hear him express it on such things in interviews:philosophy of moviemaking, acting, aging, and the Newtown tragedy.

 I've never heard anyone call Scharzenegger dumb.  How could they?  Like Rob says, he was a penniless immigrant who through hard work and self marketing became, a three time Mr. Olympia, a world reknown action film star, Governor of the State of California and married into the Kennedy family.  Does any of that sound dumb?  He has made some strange choices in his life as people with type A personalities are apt to do (see Bill Clinton) like fathering a child with a member of his household staff, but he's even turned those indescretions into a money making venture with a tell-all autobiography. Rob Vaux is correct  "He's the model American success story."  There's no reason to think he won't continue to suceed as a senior citizen.

 now this is the kind of Oak I can admire.

Dumb is just the stereotype associated with any muscular individual. Yeah I've heard many say that about Arnie probably started by some pencil necks. His accent probably adds to it in some's minds.

But you don't get this far in life by pure luck.
