Whedon does indeed say all the right things; I love the care and attention he's put into this, and it sounds like it's paying off, based on the initial buzz.  Can't wait until Friday!  :)

@shac, you're talking about Marcus Johnson. Dang, I didn't know he wore a patch over his eye too! I don't collect any avengers titles, so I'm not up to speed. But I did read an article about it.

Joss does say all the right things. He definitely gets it. Going to see it again on the big screen at the midnight showing.

I just appreciate that Whedon is making his action movie and not a movie version of any comic book in general.  We have all see what happens when the director and movie creators attempt to literally translate a comic book into movie instead of allowing the comic book to inspire the movie.  I just wonder if Marvel will basically let the characters go back to their individual franchise only to bring them back for another Avengers movie.  There should always be a pressing need for these characters to come together as a team.  They shouldn't just be thrown together simply because we don't have anything else for them to do in the interim.

DarthDestruction, end credit scene man. I'm sure that's why they will come together. Plus Fiege has already said they will bulld toward the next Avengers film with the next set of individual installments and probably add some new characters as well.

alienstatue, he doesn't have the patch on his eye yet but they are building toward that. I just thought it was kind of funny. What are the odds of a father and son both having pirate eye patches?
