Amen Wiseguy, That's a religion I'll subscribe to.
Great interview

dammnn.... amazing... Seeing the way he talks, you can see how he is one refined, badass motherfu$*ing experienced boss of all bosses when it comes to cinema.
He's definitely the best. But to be the best and still defer to your comntemporaries and say they're the real reason for success...well that just makes him even better. ;) I can't say that I've loved EVERYTHING he's made, but the ones I have loved are my very favorite movies and some of the greatest ever made.
Thank you, Mr. Spielberg!
The definitive cinematic statement on WWI...fail; War Horse was awful.
The definitive cinematic statement on Peter Pan...fail; Hook was awful.
The definitive cinematic statement on WWII...fail; 1941 was awful, then he redemed himself with Saving Private Ryan.
The definitive cinematic statement on Man vs. Martians...fail; his version of War of the Worlds was awful.
One of the best directors of all time, the master perhaps but no god; he's made some real stinkers too and really hasn't made a top tier film since Minority Report. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was almost unwatchable. Could have been Shite LeBeef's fault though. Hopefully Lincoln brought back his A game.
Also, great article. It would have been so cool to be on set when he filmed Jaws or Raiders of the Lost Ark!
Kinetoscope: the press day took place before the Star Wars/Disney announcement.
WOW, a Rob Vaux-comment sighting!
Darthbob-You can thank George Lucas for all the bad parts in Crystal Skull, not Spielberg.
and Hook was an awesome movie! RUF E OOOOOOOO!!!!!
King? no, God? yeah
The definitive cinematic statement on dinosaurs :)
The definitive cinematic statement on archeology
The definitive cinematic statement on great whites
The definitive cinematic statement on road rage :)
The definitive cinematic statement on ..........
Yeah 2 of the greatest sci/fi films ever, assuming you mean Close Encounters and Minority Report, I'd add AI and ET as two other great sci/fi films and we may add Robopocalypse in a couple of years
