Very Smart

Last night at Mania HQ East, around 5pm the skies turned black and unleashed a torrential downpour, backed by rolling thunder and illuminated by the occasional flash of lightning. Shortly afterward came a knock on the door.
We answered. There was nobody there, but a small package had been left behind. The box had no markings other than the mailing label which bore a return address to a "post office box 666" in New Mexico. The whole thing rang a bit ominous so we pulled the box indoors quickly and locked the storm door against the barrage of rain.
Inside the box was a sealed police evidence bag, time-stamped February 17, 1983, 8:22am. It was also marked with case #LA830801 and pouch #0801-005. The "Type of Offense" was listed as "Homicide". The evidence contained within the bag was recovered by "K. Olson" and described as "Funnel."
That last bit was pretty obvious actually, since the bag is transparent. Sure enough, contained with in is a plastic funnel, caked with dry blood!
What does it all mean?
Signs point to a fun publicity stunt for the new movie Let Me In. The movie is a remake of Let the Right One In and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloë Moretz. It's directed by Matt Reeves.
The story for the film has been set in New Mexico in the early 1980s. Fans of the original movie may recall a scene where a person is strung up by their ankles and drained of blood, which flows into a funnel over a container.
The film is due out October, 2010.
Below are photos of the evidence Mania received...

I think that is the first time I have ever seen a movie actually say "Based on another movie"
But that is a cool way to promote a movie. Lets hope the Saw people don't do it as well.
Ok, wait...if the movie is based in New Mexico, how its it there is a lot of snow in the trailer and poster? New Mexico doesn't get that much snow if any right? At first I heard it was gonna take place in Colorado. So was the movie shot in New Mexico and/or taking place in New Mexico?
Don't know why we needed an American version since the original was so damn good. In fact, I'm willing to bet the American version will f'it up somehow. If they don't f'it up, then will it just be a reshoot of the orignal? I guess it's just not exceptable for foreign films to be better than Hollywood films....
haha... that's awesome.. fun stuff :)
