Watchmen the best fantasy film of the year?  A three hour bore based on a dated graphic novel?  I don't think so.

LOL---let the beeching continue.

Actually these are closer to what they should have been than I thought they were going to be.  Even though Avatar would have won visuals I thnk D-9 deserved a nod.  25 mil budget produced some of the best special effects I saw last year.

I refused to vote for the visual effects. I would have voted for Avatar but since that was our only choice I could not in good conscience vote. Just because it had the most advanced effects, doesn't mean that other films like Star Trek, Watchmen, 2012 or Transformers couldn't have had a chance. I'm pretty sure Avatar would not have gotten all the votes. It would have won, either way, but I like options.

Ok, i guess it's time to go see the Hurt Locker.

5. Avatar was robbed!  How could 1. Avatar win?  That didn't have the awe inducing effects that 5. Avatar had, not even close.  Heck 1. Avatar wasn't better than 2. Avatar either.  Boo I say, boo!
