I'm going to watch this tomorrow and I'm very exited about it.

I had the chance to meet Mr. Card last fall and if he is a hater or chep bastard or whatever, that was not the impresion I had of him.

I'll watch the movie and I'll comment on it later because after all, that's what we REALLY  CARE ABOUT....right?

Just finished the last chapter of the book last night. Really hoping this movie delivers.

To say that card is a racist is absurd. He has stated publicly that he was glad Barack Obama was nominated by the democratic party as their canidate during the 2008 election because it was about time one of the parties opened up.

I really enjoyed Ender's Game, the rest of the books not so much.  Hopefully this is a standalone movie as the book is a perfect, self contained story.  I will check this out sometime this weekend.

Yeah Card is not racist, he just thinks Obama will raise his negro ghetto army and take over the country.

I'd give this movie a B as well. As a translation from book to film this movie does an amazing job! hands down. They put in a lot of stuff I didn't think would trasnlate well into the movie. It really surprised my how true to the book this is.

It's not an A for me because it seemed rushed in certain areas. When reading the book, there was more time spent at Ender's home and his relationship with his brother and sister, and even in battle school more time was spent, but I understand that they made the plot points they wanted to make with ceratin areas then moved on, so it was still very well done. I would recommened it for sure. It didn't blow me away by any means but it was a good film.

Oh that Orson... he's such a card.

Great performances by Mr. Ford and Sir Kingsley, but they can't save this ship. This movie played out like a very bad and typical Japanese anime. It was crap- very disappointing. You could actually hear the audience groan and see several actually cringe every time one of the poorly acted characters opened their mouths and spilled out some clichéd dialogue. The pacing was too fast and other times so slow and overly emoted that wondering what the heck the director was thinking (or not).

Have no idea how well this movie will do. Despite by displeasure with this film, I hope it will do well with the kids... However most of the people in the theater were adults- probably read the book, as I did so many years ago.

Nothing but loving for the bigoted shit for brains here lambasting Card, an other wise good man for his personal beliefs. WTFC. It was a good book. Get over yourselves.

Just admit it assholes- you don't like Mormons. Say it out loud a few times. Affirm it and make yourselves feel good.

For those of you, not playing this stupid game... My apologies for the profanity and malice.

Please tell me that makers found a way to include the Locke and Demosthenes sub-plot in the movie.  That was one of my favorite parts of the book.
