I want to see it bad , but gotta ditch the G/F  , I cant afford 2 tickets at IMAX 3-D ..(LOL) an try an see it on a weekday maybe at  earely morning feature before treatment  . As for Hercles and lucy ill wait an see them at the last stop theater  in a month or so for $6.50 3-D. Summer time I have too many outdoor stuff , but on a hot day I always enjoy a film .

Darth?? Which IronMan end credit scene are you referring to? Please don't say IM3.

Yeah that line with the black light was great! They really didn't hold back on the dark comedy!

First IM when Fury shows up about the Avengers initiative.

Well that 97 percent on RT just went down to 88 percent. I am seeing this on Sunday. I am looking forward to it, but I refuse to set the bar very high. For me, Cap 2 was the best Marvel movie I have seen since the Avengers. This year though, my fave comic movie is X-Men DoFP. I am sure I will be ripped for that opinion, but anyway...can't wait for Sunday.

rogue188...Who cares what the others think?

I'm really looking forward to GotG.  Everything I've seen and heard about it, leads me to believe that it's primarily a comedy (more Spaceballs than Star Wars), hence it's a lot of fun, and a great summer popcorn flick that doesn't take itself too seriously. Chris Pratt apparently is the best casting decision for these kind of movies since RDJ.

Remarks by commenters on this thread like the one about Marvel giving DC a wedgie and eating their lunch are moronic.  Can't we enjoy something without tearing another thing down.  There's no such thing as Marvel and DC anymore...those entities were gobbled up by huge multi-billion dollar corporations years ago.  The people calling the shots now are the suits at Time Warner and Disney.  Presently Disney seems to be more focussed on this area (Comic Book Movies) of their business but they aren't giving Time Warner (a national phone, internet, and cable TV provider and owners of HBO, TBS, TNT, The Cartoon Network, the CW Network, CNN, Warner Bros Animation, Hanna Barbera, Castle Rock Entertainment ) a wedgie.  Time Warner is clobbering Disney in areas other than comic book movies and both companies are doing just fine, thank you.

Bring on all the comic movies and TV series.  I do like Marvel more than DC but that doesn't mean we can't all enjoy the success of each company.  I hope they both knock it out of the park, even if I do hope that Marvel hit's a bit harder!

rogue188...RT critic review is back up to 91% now, but more important that what the critics say is what the audiences are saying at that review is at 96% on RT, and that is after 113k responses.  Looks like Marvel has another hit on their hands.

GOTG did $11.2 million last night; highest of 2014.  Off to a good start!

Wiseguy 8/1/2014 10:26:10 AM

I don't know if this is the proper forum but I am here to announce the passing the man you guys know as Wiseguy. All the pressures and stresses of life finally got to him and his heart gave away last night.

The EMT's were at the scene immediately but could not bring him back. Apparently the awesomeness of this movie was too much for his heart to bear. Luckily somebody mentioned a sequel due in 2017 and he came back to life, woot woot
