Yeah, I was wrong about using the name Azog; when I mentioned the Ballchinnian I mean the Goblin King.  Azog was awesome, and that's cool that they used the actor for Crixis for him.

I'm looking forward to seeing it again!

Today's generation are not old school gamers like us. They prefer the plug and play like World of Warcraft and such. That's why people assume Gandalf has unlimited magic. Like a videogame.

At first it felt like reseting.  That's a difficult thing to ask an audience to do after the Lord of the Rings.  It will definitely drag, but the movie soon take a life of its own, even with the return of several of the characters from LOTR.  It'll be interesting to see what happens next.  Me?  I loved the movie, thanks especially to Martin Freeman.  He was spectacular.

Seeing this movie in IMAX-3D-HFR was seeing something completey new - a completely new experience never had at the theatre before. unbelievable quality and detail, I was blown away and I can't wait to see it again.

The Goblin King looked AMAZING and I couldn't believe the difference of how real Gollum looked, as compared to the LOTR trilogy, again, the detail was stunning.

Did Azog remind anyone else of the pale, mutated orc general from ROTK? He rode on a Warg too.

The scene at the end, looking off to the Lonely Mountain was the same ending in FOTR - looking off to Mt. Doom / Mordor... I thought that was a nice touch.

Wise - I remember thinking to myself during the movie that this feels like watching a National Geographic film shot in IMAX. It was beautiful.

When are we getting the Silmarillion on HBO or AMC? Wake me when this happens.

With the final Rings movie seemingly never ending, having it run on and on, I can see why I wouldn't want to see this movie. I was never a fan of the hobbit.  What they need to do is make a 3 part movie for ROBOTECH!
