Saw it this afternoon.  It's a good film.  Lots of action and an intelligent, interesting story as well.  Sure we can't get these guys to do the next Star Trek film?  They seem to know what they are doing.

from 1-10 i give it a 6 1/2... and what are some of you saying bout it that it had loads of action ? i think thats what it felt short in, over all the title fits it well it's loopy alright!! not saying it was bad though for me and my friends and my wife we all felt it could have been better had it not drag on for almost  over an hour ..

watched this today ... it was very good ... unique-ish script, strong cast and some stand out moments ... there is a scene that makes your skin crawl so you have to see it! ... some big "what the" and head scratching moments in the movie but if you go with the flow its ok ... @zillaman - yeah i agree the action could have been more ... and there was some naughty moments which kind of made up for it lol

A minus for me

PS - the cinematography was stylish ...

Rob's grade is wrong. Sorry...

It gets a AAA plus from me!

We all enjoy sci-fi stories and have seen and read alot of them but rarely do movies on the subject go for depth and uniqueness. As Rob stated in his review they usually go for a tried and true scenario that can be better or worse depending on its execution.

I felt the same way about this I felt about the first Terminator and Inception. It was a truly unique idea executed in a way totally different than what has been done before on screen (yes, I know Terminator was swiped from two Harlan Ellison written Outer Limits episodes). I thought its story was different and more important to me it had a totally different way of executing that story. And for me execution, whether its the same old story or something new is what makes the difference. I've never seen any of Rian Johnson's other work but I will check them out now. I'd love it if he did more genre work.

I can understand some disappointment because the trailers gave the impression of it being an all out actionfest like Terminator. An the action in it was also done in a unique way. But for me, it was just fantastic.

What was wrong with the action?  It had chases, cars flipping over, hover motorcycles and Bruce Willis shooting up a mafia safehouse and leaving no survivors.  Where did it need more action?

There are plenty of movies which are wall to wall action with no thought needed.  I like those movies fine but I prefer a movie which makes me think and time paradoxes are serious brain food.
