Wife and I both enjoyed it.  I agree that this one had a different feel.  It felt like they were sending Craig out with his battered, worn and tired look.  Hell, I felt I was ready for retirement after seeing his eyes.  He looked spent emotionally and physically in this movie...and then the ending was like OH, well, i guess he says he is ready.  lol  It was nice to the nods to the past.  I loved the ejector seat conversation!

Very good movie.  Way better than the Bourne movie that came out this year.  Very well done.

Best Bond's

Craig > Connery > Dalton > Lazenby > Brosnan > Moore.

Best Bond films (top 5 no order that's just hard)

From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, License to Kill, Casino Royal, and Skyfall.

Worst Bond film:  Octopussy (Though for Bad Movie night it's a hoot!)

Definite A.  Manages to combine Craigs very gritty take on Bond with some of the best riffs of the past with spectacular results. I wouldn't be surprised if Dame Judi doesn't get an Oscar nod and if Roger Deakins doesn't walk away with the Cinematography award I'll be very pissed. This is easily the best looking Bond film yet.  The Shanghai and Macau sequences are masterpieces of light vs shadow, which is something of a theme of this film. My only minor criticism would be the two stunning Bond Girls are underwritten and seriously underutilized (Some people are calling Bardem's wonderfully fey villain  the only true Bond Girl in the movie).

Wonderful.  I grew up on Bond, and this one really made me as excited as I was as a kid watching those flicks.  I loved the set up at the end,. it would make me worry that the franchise was returning to formula films, but the producers have proven too smart for that.   Sam Mendes says the first Bond film he saw was Live and Let Die, which was mine as well, so that was cool.  I have affection for Moore as a result, and the fact that he says this is the Best Bond movie and the Craig is usurping Connery as the quintessential Bond, has freed me to admit, Craig is a great great Bond, and I'm thinking the best right now.

Bond was my second "hero discovery" as a young child (after Zorro, loved those old BW movies:)). I have seen each and every one of the bond movies and I can say that this one was one of the best

Skyfall was excellent but not even close to being the best Bond movie of all time.  Craig's Casino Royale was better than Skyfall.  I really enjoyed the nod to some classic Bond throughout the movie.  I'm hoping that the Aston Martin DB5 was a replica because if it wasn't then the director and producer should be put in jail for destroying a classic work of art!

I agree that CR was better than Skyfall.  My only problem with CR was that Bond was a bit long in the tooth to be getting his 00 status and now he is already middle aged and burned out.  Big leaps.

I actually think I liked Skyfall better then CR though the opening foot chase in CR is the best action sequence in recent memory. The pacing was much better in Skyfall not having to sit and watch Bond play poker for 25 minutes, and Javier Bardem is probably the best Bond villian since Sean Bean in Goldeneye so that's been about 17 years. I'd give it an A plus, go see it then buy it when it hits dvd/bluray. Well done!

One of the best Bond films in decades. I appreciated the fact that there were less 'outrageouse' action scenes and more emphasis on plot and characters. The nods to previous Bond films were a nice touch. (Notice the licence plate on Bond's Aston Martin...then watch Goldfinger to see what I mean. B.T.W. this is not the first time a Bond film attempted a more realistic approach to Bond. Producers did NOT take their cue from Christopher Nolan's Batman films. Check out films like For Your Eyes Only or Licence to Kill for previous versions of a grittier less gadget focused Bond. The ending brought a real smile to my face as the Bond films come full circle.

I love Daniel Craig as bond, but this film didn't deliver.  I enjoyed where he took the new bond. Realism and not some fantastic world where everthing was possible and unbelieveable. The fall in the beginning was so wildly unbelieveable that the rest of the film became irrelevant. It dragged and wasn't that interesting. If only they could get back to the intregue and suspense of Casino Royal. IMO one of the best bond movies ever.
