This is a family movie for me, Dad and brothers all want to see this together.  They and me loved the first one.

Liam Neeson's been making the round this week.  He was on The Jim Rome Show and Sportscenter.

yeah and dropped a F-bomb on SportsCenter.

I just don't know about this one, I'll see it but I'm really not expecting anything as good as the first - and that one came as a complete surprise to me when I saw it.

The racism in the first one (swarthy Arabs buying white western women for sex) was off putting.  Even the real sex trade in places like Dubai (forget Paris) isn't this ridiculous.

This sounds like it will be worse.

I'm just glad the bad guys weren't looking for money. 'Cause he doesn't have any...

Mythos 10/5/2012 10:24:55 AM

huh this guy went on a vacation with his ex-wife? and the current husband just said sure???/

Looks like a sequel that simply rehashes the original.

First off , where is the racism ? I just came from the movie, and again I ask, WHERE is it ?  I'll tell you what's off putting, people who insist on throwing the race card just to have something to complain about.  The movie was a good and not a bad sequel either. You know I'm starting to think that eventually production companies are going to have to put disclaimers at the beginning of their movies just to satisfy you people.   Second, if you were watching, Mythos, her current husband left her at the beginning of the movie so, I'd say he's fine with it.

Bestintheworld1 10/5/2012 6:17:42 PM

My bad, I meant the movie was good, not "a good".

Rob Vaux: "Forgiving Taken 2’s racism" - "Evil Muslims vs. Irate Irishman" - "Add to that the film’s grotesque race baiting"

This raised my eyebrow right off the bat. I'm not sure if your implying that Muslims can't be evil or Irishmen can't be Irate hah. Perhaps caricatures done in broad strokes and very one dimentional? Not having seen the movie if anyone wants to clarify I'd like to hear it.
