Yeah that fuk almost ruined the movie for me, smelly bastard.  But its all good got through it.  Thor 2 > Thor.  I liked it coukdve used less humor but wasnt as bad as i expected.  Good flik and they set Thor up for Avengers.

The GotG stuff looked liked crap and Del Toro definitely looks like Mugatu

So after thinking about the ending a bit I got a few questions, why does Loki give The Collector the Aether, or did Volstagg & Sif act alone on that?  How did Loki survive? Is Agents of Shield going to chase down that monster at the end, and the remaining Dark Elves?

More importantly, why can't Thor just do a threesome with Jane & Sif?

Wow Thor 2 is probably not just the best CBM of the year, but one of my favorite movies of all time i'd say. I liked it that much!! For me the balance of everything was perfect. SO many awesome scenes and so many great funny moments! SO GOOD!!! =)

Hanso- i recall Sif and Volstagg saying they were giving him one of the gems cuz it isn't safe to keep more than one of them together (in case they get jacked).   But obviously, they gave it to the wrong guy for keeping. I was hoping Rocket Raccoon would come out of a corner to reveal that he is actually pulling the Collector's strings, but i have no idea what goes on in GOTG so I'm probably way off there.

I just saw it and I liked it.  It was way better than IM3. I've kind of learned to just gloss over the plot in the Marvel movies so as not to get frustrated with them and this one is no exception. Loki was awesome and I'm glad they didn't turn him into the anti-hero it seemed like they were heading towards. The middle credit scene was just weird and poorly done. Reminded me of an episode of Lexx. All in all it was a good time.

Drmanhatten..... The car was floating.

Hanso..... Loki faked his death. The bigger question is what are we to believe has happened with Odin? The all seeing all father doesn't know what Loki is up to and doesn't find it odd that Thor has left for earth without the conversation we saw with Loki pretending to be Odin?  I get they need him to be on earth for avengers 2 but Loki speaking as Odin muddied the waters a bit imho.

The other issue I have is how they have conceptualize asguard. The elves storm the castle with laser rifles and the asguardians fight back with swords.... In the first Thor we see them riding around on horses. Yet here we see they have laser cannons and essentially spacecraft with lasers and missiles. Which is it? Swords and horses or lasers and flying craft?

Otherwise I enjoyed it. Not as good as the first. But enjoyable.

Saw it, enjoyed it.  A little slow in the beginnig.  Great humor, the crew know their characters and that was very enjoyable.  The 2nd half was very fun and action packed.  "Evidently there is a line".  Love it.

Loved IT!!!!!!

The Nine Realms/Asgard scenes were like LOTR with extra magic added in.

The humor I really liked as well. I would think I wouldn't because you could see it as similar to Superman II & III which was super silly and stupid IMHO in its humor. But I didn't take it that way. I laughed with it and not at it. Maybe it was the British location of the Earth scenes juxtaposed with the fantasy/sci-fi realms but it felt like Dr. Who on super steroids. In that series, fantasy, drama, romance, and off-key humor are all together and melded beautfully and that's how I took this. And I love Dr. Who so I loved this!

I know Loki faked his death, my question is how did he survive u know after a sword went through him.

Volgstag says its unwise to keep the stones together but if Loki is Odin why would Loki tell Volgstag to give the Aether away?  I assume Loki would want to keep such a powerful artifact near him.  Or did Volstag just steal the Arther and gave it away?

@violator, good to see you back yo!  Where u been, u a father yet?

Saw it. Liked it. But, at some point The Marvel movies should give us a plausible reason why no other super powered heroes show up to help when the world is clearly threatened with destruction.

kinda' the same issue I had with IM3. Stark is publicly getting his ass handed to him and none of the other heroes attempt to lend a hand?

yes, it's nit picking. But, Marvel has set the bar pretty high. I expect that attention to detail from them.

Still a good movie, though. I'll be seeing it again.
