    • I've read most of the books, all but the last two, and the writing on the first two season of the show was a lot better than the books.  I think the two are starting to even out.  I think Bill's character gets expanded in the show because Steven Moyer is married to Anna Paquin.  Erik really is much more interesting and Skarsgard is a pretty good actor to boot.
    • Already watched second ep on HBO Go, and agree it's better than the premier. In it there is a scene with Pam where she is smokin' hot.

MG, regualr subscribers do get it. It's free if you get regular HBO.

It's so that you can watch it on your own time, I guess, and you're away from home. I think that seeing one ep early is just an incentive to get HBOGo to be looked at. They did it for only one episode of GoT.

I've renounced True Blood, it's actually a really crappy show, that gained too much hype after Season One. And don't get me wrong the first season was fairly good even with the dismal dialogue.

Really and truth be told, if you're looking for quality, you don't have to stray much further than another premium channel. Dexter is the pinnacle of T.V. and even with a mediocre fifth season I'm much more intrigued by the characters in Dexter than True Blood.

True Blood lost me when it wanted to become a platform for obnoxious drama and convoluted storylines. It doesn't help much to me that the show relies on cliffhangers to bring back an audience. I'm not a fan of cheap gimmicks.

Um, all shows that are serialized do that. Game of Thrones did that. And that show was excellent. Hell, Dexter does that. And why can't somebody like both?

Hell with Harry, Transformers baby . \m/

Oh yeah True Blood this episode was great. Eric and Sookie together , " you are mine" i love it.

Bill as King , is funny, i want to know how he defeated the queen if that was the case from the season 3 finale.

O well more to come \m/ Entourage soon too last season =(

I actually enjoyed the episode.

Sure, it "jumped the shark" from the books, so I understand why some people can be upset. How's that any different from fans getting upset over how a movie handled their favorite superhero or what-not?

I enjoy that this show decided to take it and make it their own instead of sticking to the books. I think it works, I've enjoyed the ride so far. Sure some episodes can suck here and there.....but overall I'm still diggin' the show.

I know it is hard to comprehend, but many HBO subscribers do not have a PC or a device to watch HBO Go.  This means they all have to wait to see episode 2.

If I was Tara and men had treated me that way in the past I would become a Lesbian as well.

The show itself is cool in parts but I am still bugged by Arlene being such an idiot.  The time line does not match up for the baby.  There is no way Rene could be the Father.  Terry got her pregnant, although they don't remember because they were under Mary Ann's influence.

It is ok to stray from the books because it is a different medium.  It can tell a different story.  That being said, I didn't like the way they changed the Grandfather from the books.

All in all I thought the first episode was pretty poor but hear episode 2 is better.

WRONG. That title now goes to "Game of Thrones". Next comes Dexter and then "The Walking Dead".

Dexter lost it crown when he got a wife and family. But then she died and the kids left so now all is well again in the world of Dexter.

As for the new True Blood, it was good. But the pacing felt a but rushed. Sookie is a far better character now that we know she is not actually human though and seeing her Fae homeland was interesting.

Just food for thought.  I think the reason HBO is releasing some of it's shows episodes a week early is testing the load on the servers.  They did this with GOT and now with True Blood arguably their two most popular current shows.  I think they want to test their servers under extreme load just to make sure they get all the bugs out.  From what I heard, the first night they did this with GOT, the servers crashed.  I watched the second episode of True Blood Sunday night & it took quite a while to actually get through to see it.  It wouldn't log me on to HBOGo at first so I watched through Xfinity (Comcast), then that crapped out halfway through.  When that messed up, I went back to HBOGo & after about a minute wait, it loaded there for me & I finished watching the episode.

A lot of questions people mentioned here were addressed in the second episode (what happened to the Queen of Louisiana, what's up with Sam's "anger management", etc.).  I think folks just need to be patient because I think the answers to many of the cliffhangers from last season will slowly be revealed.
