Did anyone really expect anything better than a D? I Know I didn't.

doublec 11/16/2012 1:45:00 AM

Exactly. This, like the movie itself, was almost word for word the review I expected. Twilight haters are just as one-note as Twilighters themselves. Only the German was a bit of a shock...

Nicely put Rob, nicely put.

Never watched one.  Maybe a snipit or two mins when I realize what was on tv then quickly turn the channel.

Rob, you really know how to rant!  Your review of this movie probably has more entertainment value than all of these movies combined.

These movies are like onions, the stink will make you cry!

Thank God I don't have a daughter and my wife is not a Twink-lighter. We are going to enjoy Lincoln this weekend.

Checking it out on Saturday.  I don't know anyone who has ever thought of this series as a type of horror movie?  From the get go this was aimed at the youth who enjoy their heart drama with the addition of vampires.  My wife is smart enough to know and appreciate the classic vampire flicks and legend.  These movies just filled a void.  The books were an easy read.  It gave the wife and I something to discuss and share, but to be clear, neither one of us have ever left the theater thinking these were awesome movies with great everything or anything.  Hell no.  They were entertaining. And I have no problem taking my wife out on our date night to watch it.  Next will be Lincoln!

I would just remind everyone who are going to bash it, which you have the right to do, just to remember just because you can't stand it, it doesn't mean the rest of us won't.  I wish I would have written them so I can be enjoying the good life.  lol

Red Hood: Robc's comments arenc't based on personal preferenses. Try reading what he actually says. His criticism is spot on. The messages in these movies are truely destructive to people. They glorify and reward complete self absorption. Surely you see that.

I also haven't seen these movies. No one has made me see them and they don't have a strong appeal to me. I don't care or mind that they have been huge blockbusters and I'm happy for the writer and filmmakers and have made a great profit and the fans of them are happy. I say this because there are loads of movies, books, and TV shows I love that would b e crap for others. So to each there own.
