I noticed that it was a little Romeo and Juliet like, but I realized reading this that they pulled the names from the play. I'm assuming they changed then ending.

Still not interested in this...feel it takes away too much of what zombies are and just try to change the actualy definition of what a zombie is.

Not sure if it's a good thing to have a different kind of zombie apocalypse movie. The last person to have done it really, really well is Shaun of the Dead but that was such a good movie, those are rare and far between.

Seems like a rental for sure.

I can't get into Hollywood's latest genre  whatever you want to call it - Horror, Fantasy & Sci-Fi for Couples, or Chick Horror, Date night horror.  Not a big fan of  Twilight,  Hunger Games, HBO's True Blood, MTV's Teen Wolf and I'll pass on this one.

Just watched the original "Alien."   It's loaded with sexual innuendo (The face hugger, the Alien birth, the shape of the Alien's head, the Alien's tongue, a rolled up document jammed down a woman's throat), but there's no love angle.  Made me wonder how Ridley Scott got the movie made without some Studio Exec insisting that there be a love angle for the ladies. I guess they figured a strong female lead was enough.

...and zombies never were about eating brains and all that crap, the origins of the zombie phenomenon were based in the old slave trades of Africa, and the fear of "...no rest in life, no rest in death..."

This movie did blow.  Wife and I went for our date night.  I was hoping for better, but it only took a record player in the first 5 minutes to lose me and then half way thru I dozed off and my wife had to nudge me back to life.  It is VERY slow for the 1st half and then it picks up, but it doesn't make any sense.  I would suggest to my friends here that you do not waste money to see it at the theater, wait for Netflix.
