I can't believe I'm actually really excited to see this horror film.  Hammer has produced two duds in Let Me In (the original was far more well done.  I guess Americans couldn't handle the Swedish ending.) and The Resident (I believe it was called.  Which was forgetable).  Glad to see them return to form. Hope this is a success so we can see more of this type of horror.  I'm so over zombies, vampires, gore porn and found footage.

You know you're going to watch "The Video Diaries of The Zombie-Vampire-Hooker!"

After the Harry Potter films I have no desire to ever see Daniel Radcliffe in anything else ever again.  I personally think he just sucks as an actor.  So, nothing against this film itself, but I just can't stand to ever watch him again.

"The Video Diaries of The Zombie-Vampire-Hooker!"  I'm SO there!

I'm willing to see what Radcliffe can do with new material.  I probably won't go to the theater for this but I'll be waiting for it to show up on HBO.

Okay, I'd make an exception for anything that has the word "hooker" in it.

KungPow:  You really dislike Radcliffe that much?  I thought he had really grown as an actor over the years.  He started at, what, ten?  The last two Potter films were great and I think he did some fine acting in those movies.  I don't have any baggage hoveing over the actor.  I'm not a Potterhead, or whatever they call themselves.  I just watched the movies.  Not interested in the books.  But, that said, if Hammer is going gothic, I'm so there to see it.

Inner...I totally disagree with you about Let me In.  I found  the original version to be slow and plodding.  it wasn't because it was Swedish it was primarily because  the boy was just completely lacking in personality.  Wakewood by Hammer was decent.  That was their first new film

Harry Potter would have failed if even one of those kids was a bad actor, Dan Radcliffe is a very fine actor, even with only one major character to his name he is still great.  His future will be up to him because he has earned the right ot pick and choose exactly what he wants to do for the rest of his life.

KungPow 2/3/2012 8:46:37 AM

InnerSanctum:  Has he improved?  Yes, he has.  But compared to most other actors out there he still sucks in my personal opinion.  I know others like him and that is just fine.  And to say that he has improved from the first movies really isn't saying much.  His acting is so bad in those it's comical.
