Hey fellow Maniacs and welcome to the first edition Mania Time Warp! This is the place where you can kick off your shoes, relax on your Saturday afternoon, and travel back in time with us to see the history of the realm of Mania on this day 1, 3, and 5 years ago.
Strap in your seats as we’re about to travel around the sun a few times (Star Trek IV) and by all means, queue the theme song as we “Boldly Go Where Maniacs Have Gone Before…”

Overview: Yes, back 5 years ago, audiences were excitedly lining the theaters to watch the long awaited sequel The Matrix Reloaded, after the Wachowski brothers awed audiences with their 1999 smash-hit, The Matrix, a film which grossed 460.3 mil worldwide on a budget of just 63 mil.

Overview: A clear example on why Development Hell will never go away. Every year, a film gets green-lit, only to get pushed aside and grow dusty on the shelves in the basement of some studio. Just a few months ago, we passed along word that a Tekken film was once again in development—with Luke Goss set to lead--- but judging by the article above, this film should have been out a long time ago if Sony Screen Gems and Crystal Sky productions had their way.

Overview: Yes, one year ago today here in the realm of Mania, we found out for the first time that veteran dramatic actors Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino were reuniting for the first time since they starred opposite each other in 1995’s Heat.
This time around, however, we found that they have a new cop thriller planned where they’re working together as partners instead of against each other as enemies.
