Going to New York this weekend? Here's a list of attractions

New York Comic Con has quickly gone from a troubled start up in 2006 to a major event for comic fans in 2009. Robert Trate and Edward Goodsmith are headed out to cover the show for Mania and there is a ton to see and do there.

We can't tell you everything you'll find at NYCC. For that you should visit the official website and the official blog.

But here's a round up of fun stuff to be on the lookout for:

 

Feb 5 - Thursday Night

NYCC doesn't offer a preview night, as has become fasionable at other conventions, but there is a sneak screening of 'The Mutant Chronicles' at 7pm at the AMC Lowes Theater on 34th Street. This is the new movie starring Thomas Jane, Ron Pearleman and Devon Aoki based on the long-running RPG.

 

Feb 6 - Friday

4:45pm - 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold'  - Panel and Screening - Room 1A06v

4:45pm - 'Superjail!' - Panel - Room 1A08-12

5:30 - 'Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder'  -- World Premiere - IGN Theater

6:30 pm - Adult Swim Presents Jon Glaser, Cheeseburger & Andrew W.K - Santos Party House, 96 Lafayette St., NYC - Free Fan Event!

7:00 pm - Q & A panel with the cast and crew of the new 'Wonder Woman' animated movie - IGN Theater - Followed immediately by...

8:30 pm - Screening of 'Wonder Woman' at the IGN Theater in the Javitz Center!

8:00 pm - Screening of Takeshi Miike's new live-action, anime-based 'Yatterman' at New York Directors Guild Theater, at 110 West 57th Street

 

 

Feb 7 - Saturday

11:00 am - Warner Bros will be presenting footage and talent panels promoting the upcoming movies 'Watchmen', 'Friday the 13th', 'Terminator: Salvation' and 'The  Orphan'. Watch for coverage of these panels right here.

12:30pm - CARTOON NETWORK’S FUSIONFALL - Kids MMORPG - Room 1A24

1:45pm -  ROBOT CHICKEN -  Room 1A08-12

2:30 - IGN Theater - Presentations of Disney and Pixar's 'Up' and Touchstone Pictures' 'The Surrogates' starring Bruce Willis and based on the Top Shelf Comix graphic novels.

2:45 pm - 'Dead Like Me: Life After Death' -- Cast members Ellen Muth, Callum Blue, Britt McKillip, Cynthia Stevenson, and Sarah Wynter, and director Steve Herek. Room 1A14.

3:00pm - ADULT SWIM SIGNINGS -  Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, Breckin Meyer, Kevin Shinick Robot Chicken -  Room 1A01

4:00 pm - IGN Theater - SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT Presents presentations of the new Alex Proyas film 'Knowing', the new Kathry Bigelow thriller 'The Hurt Locker' and the world priemiere of footage from 'Astro Boy'!

4:15 pm - 'Torchwood' panel - Myles and Lyn make their first US panel appearance. Room 1A08-12

4:15 pm - Jim Lee, Geoff Johns and an as-yet-unnamed comics legend unveil DC Universe Online in Room 1A24

5:15 pm - Radical Comics panel with Jim Steranko, Arthur Sudyam, Steve Niles, Steve Pugh, David Hine and Rick Remender - with a major announcement expected - in room 1A07
