Many markets for DEATH, JR.

Video game already being developed as a film, comic book

In another sign that synergy is everything in entertainment these days, today's Variety reports that both a movie and a comic book are in development for a new video game being created by Backbone Entertainment called DEATH, JR.. The property, scheduled for release next year on Sony's new PSP game system, revolves around the offspring of the Grim Reaper and his bizarre group of pals such as Pandora (a girl that has a compulsion to open all boxes.)

Backbone has partnered with Circle of Confusion, an entertainment management company, to develop the spinoffs. Director Larry Guterman (CATS & DOGS, SON OF THE MASK) is attached to the movie. He'll develop the feature through his Orange Grove Entertainment film production company.
