The 'Ghost Rider' DVD is in stores today. Newsarama chats up director Mark Steven Johnson about what's new in this home video release of the smash hit movie:
Newsarama: How much different is the extended cut of Ghost Rider from the theatrical cut?
Mark Steven Johnson: There's about 15 minutes of additional footage in the extended cut. It's actually quite a bit considering that I also deleted a few scenes from the theatrical cut as well.
NRAMA: Do you consider the extended cut your "director's cut" in the same way you released a director's cut of Daredevil?
MSJ: I think it's best considered an extended cut. This is the cut that was closest to what the final shooting script was, but there were so many changes and discussions on the movie throughout that I can't in all good faith call it a Director's Cut. It's certainly not like the Director's Cut of Daredevil, which is a vastly different movie from the theatrical. It's still the same movie, even with the additions and deletions.
