Mark Valley is the HUMAN TARGET

FRINGE, BOSTON LEGAL star to play DCU master of disguise

WBTV has Mark Valley in the cross hairs as the lead actor in their 'Human  Target' pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Valley has turned up as an occasional guest on ABC's 'Fringe' playing the is-he-or-isn't-he-dead boy friend of agent Oliva Dunham. Prior to that he was a regular on 'Boston Legal', although many fans sill fondly recall his starring turn in the short-lived 'Keen Eddie' show.

The pilot is being filmed by WBTV, DC Comics and McG's Wonderland. The premise finds Valley's character Christopher Chance as a mysterious security consultant who protects at-risk clients by assuming their identities.

The concept was previously adapted to TV in the early 1990s. One hurdle the previous show had difficulty overcoming was the fact that the leading man (then Rick Springfield) would have relatively little screen time. Once Chance went undercover, the character was played by that week's guest actor and Springfield would sit on the bench.

What do you think? Is 'Human Target' a show you're looking forward to? How do you like his casting?

Sweet.  Loved him as Keen Eddie.  Always wanted them to pick that back up and make more.  Then he was cast in Fringe, and he did well in that.  I think he'll do a good job with this.  I always thought this concept was pretty neat, so I'm hoping it does well.

Yeah keen Eddie was a good show. I also remember that other Human Target wellll..sort of. Guess that's why it died. I hope this one is better.

One day Mark Valley will be cast in the role he was born to play: Martin Mystère (or Mystery as in the Dark Horse version)

Wasn't there a rumor that he was being considered for Captain America? He has the perfect look but may have been borned about 10 years or so too early IMO. As for this concept I just don't see it working, I think we like to follow that one person that we can follow and sort of get attached to. But who knows, I was wrong once before
