Martinez Finds Love in DEATH RACE Remake

Becoming the second remake news tonight, model turned actress Natalie Martinez is set to star in DEATH RACE, the remake to the Roger Corman classic. She'll be playing a romantic interest for Jason Statham's Frankenstein. Her role is named "Case", a character who is assigned to help navigate Frankenstein in the race eventually trying to help him escape prison. She joins fellow cast members Joan Allen (the Warden), Ian McShane (the Coach) and Tyrese Gibson (Machine Gun Joe).
Plot Summary: Story centers on a future America in which prison inmates are forced to brutally compete in an enclosed arena. Statham is starring as a prisoner who, with only weeks to go before his release, is coerced into being a driver in a road rally to the death and becomes a crowd favorite called Frankenstein.
DEATH RACE begins filming this month in Montreal.
