I still think Snipes could play Black Panther.  I can't believe this has not been made already with all the crying about there not being enough black roles in Hollywood.  Whatever happened to the toon also?  Did I miss that?  I really want to say to people, "Yo you catch BET last night?"

Ok, guys.  Here is my humble opinion about the actors names being thrown around for Black Panther and perhaps a few of my own.

Chiwetel Ejiofor - Excellent actor, could probably show us something about acting we never hoped to see.  Yet I still do not think he's T'Challa material.  I'd like to see him in the movie perhaps as T'Challa advisor or maybe even the villain.

DiJimon Honshou- I love this man and if they had made the Panther movie 10 years ago, I would have been all for it.  Now I see him as T'Chaka.  I could see him through out the film is great flash back and dream sequences.

Terrance Howard- is weak plain and simple.  I don't want to see him near any more marvel properties if I had my way.  He's comes across as a pretty boy ass hat plain and simple.  There is no way he could play any marvel character and do it justice I'm sorry.  He'd just be eye candy for the ladies (if ladies like that super sweet sugary shit in the 1st place)

Truth be told I'd much rather Marvel cast an unknown in the role.  Get a guy who fits the part.  An atheletic 20 something and start training his ass now... hell he might already be trained in martial arts and all you have to do is tweak his skills so they appear more cat like.  Get an unknown and then spend the money on a good supporting cast.

If we must go with a known actor then two come to mind: Morris Chestnut and Michael Jai White.  Both good actors, but both also relatively unknown to the main stream.  These guys are high on the African American radar as actors, but i doubt the rest of the masses truly know them.

Morris Chestnut has the depth and the acting ability, don't know if he has the physical talent though.  He would definitely fill the seats with women 18-49.  I'm quite sure a trainer could work wonders if they used the Matrix approach and started getting him ready now.

Michael Jai White on the other hand has the physical talent, but I think to bring an acting intensity to the role he's gonna need some more lessons.  I know his presence on the screen would work.  So if this film went for a more brooding direction or even a darker slant then MJW would be fine.  He is grwoing as actor so it all remains to be seen.

Ok ok, Micheal Jai White is a great choice.  He is bad ass, ripped, and a good actor.  He would work very very well.  Thumbs up for a great suggestion.

Terrence Howard - good looking guy but he has a terrible speaking voice.

Michael Jai White should be Luke Cage period.

Check out Black Dynamite.

Don't get me wrong, I like Terrance Howard.  Personally, I am getting tired of people CONSTANTLY bringing up Black Panther any time a back actor wants to play a comic book character.  To me, it kind of shows a blindness and lack of the ability to view a character in depth.

Black Panther freaking beat CAP! HE BEAT CAPTAIN AMERICA!  He's a standalone figure of nobility and accomplishment.

Terrence Howard is a good actor, but I don't think he's suited for the role.  Maybe he can play the Falcon or something.

As far as Black Panther... has anyone mentioned Idris Elba?  I mean, seriously.  Look at the guy.  Who doesn't see that?
