Apologies to everyone who is looking for the Marvel News Blitz part of today's column. The Blitz was excerpted from a transcript from another website. It turns out that website jumped the gun in posting their transcript and was asked to take it offline. As a courtesy, we've edited out the portions of the column based on that transcript, and will restore them when the source site is clear to re-post it.
Ryan Reynolds talked to HitFix last week about the 'Deadpool' spinoff and dropped a few hints about story details.
"I'm intimately involved with it. We're just trying to break a story right now and figure out who the villain is going to be and all that stuff. But, it's going to be just like the comic books," Reynolds said. "I'm gonna have a messed up face and you may see some flashbacks of Wade earlier in his life, but primarily what you see is what you get in the comics and that's the goal. And there is no better place to draw material from then the comics which are incredible."
A recent article in the St. Charles Herald Guide gives fans another look a the currently filming 'Jonah Hex' movie. Mid-May the production has built a scale replica Civil War-era ironclad river gunboat in the waters off Bayou Gauche near St Charles Parish in Louisiana.
Filming took place there from May 11 - May 15.
Interestingly, the city of St. Charles Parish is said to be somewhat discriminating in which productions it allows onto their territory and 'Jonah Hex' was only permitted to film there after assurances that the production would not interfere with the local residents.
Last week actor Clifton Collins, Jr. got some attention with some mysterious Twitter posts about a 'Thor' meeting. MTV Splash Page chatted with the actor about his involvement with the film project thus far.
"I had a little meeting. I think I can say that much," Collins told MTV News. Beyond that the actor revealed little, saying nothing about what role he tried out for or whether-or-not he has been hired. He did offer plenty of gushing praise for Kenneth Branagh and assured everyone the movie would be big.
