Not a huge fan of the helmet for Cap. However that is the best I have so I'm in.

i agree the helmet looks awful. but whatever its about time for this movie to hit the screen

I LOVE the Helmet, it makes sense. Cap is not impervious to getting his head split open, so I like the utilitarian aspects of this. It's based on The Ultimates, which is my favorite incarnation of The Avengers to date.

I'm looking forward to Captain America more than any other comic book film (well, except Green Lantern) this year, but I agree about the helmet. Although it does make sense for Cap, something just doesn't seem right about the whole suit. But I'm merely nitpicking.

I just hope we get to see Thor and Captain America in their uniforms most of the time. I hate superhero movies where they have the hero wear regular clothes during most of the film.

Well, what really doesn't make sense in real life is a guy fighting for his life wearing skin-tight spandex and a cowl.  It works for kids reading comics, but it is hard to justify in live action.

Seems to me they took the basic "look" of Capt. America and tried to keep as much as possible, but making it utilitarian at the same time.

If I were going into battle and you offered me the movie costume or the comics costume, I'd pick the movie costume.  ;)

Oh stop looking for faults, the helmet looks pretty desent.
It makes sense to wear a helmet while bullets are shooting past your head.

I for one am getting really pumped for the Cap movie, Thor is looking more awesome too week by week.

Marvel is gonna OWN the summer, even with that crappy X movie!!!!!!!

violator14 2/23/2011 11:27:12 AM

I don't like how Captain America carries a shield.......

wessmith1966 2/23/2011 1:39:00 PM

Evans looks perfect as Steve/Cap! The costume design looks fantastic, helmet and all. Cap's going to be the best comics-based movie this year from what I've seen so far of it and the other films. I can't wait to see what Brannah's done with Thor, but someone once said right here on this sight...will own your ass son (or something like that!).
