Marvel To Publish G.I. JOE And TRANSFORMERS Trades
By: Rob AllstetterDate: Wednesday, October 10, 2001
Marvel Comics has reached an agreement with Hasbro to publish a line of trade paperbacks reprinting Marvel's comic books based on the G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS properties.
The two series will go on sale in April and, based upon retailer and reader demand, will continue either on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis.
"Given Hasbro's relaunch of G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS as toys, and the current fascination with all things from the 1980s, it made sense for Marvel to collect these series," says Marvel's Bob Greenberger, director - publishing operations.
