Brian K. Vaughn's breakout hit comic 'Runaways' is the latest announced project from Marvel.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vaughn will write the screenplay for the movie and co-produce it as well. He's currently a writer and producer for the 'Lost' TV show.
The book involves a group of teenagers who discover their parents are actually actually super-villains. Running away from their homes, the teens band together and begin a journey of discovery, both of their parents' origins and of their own inherited powers, while trying to make up for the evil done by their folks.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is on board as producer as well.
Created in 2002, the award-winning 'Runaways' is the first instance of Marvel studios developing a film around a relatively recent concept.
