If you want off the wall, I say buy the character rights from DC and put the Wonder Twins on the team!

But seriously, if you're going to put an X-Man on the team, then how about Professor X?  Might be a nice twist to see him not in a leadership position and just be one of the guys... let him lighten up and live a litte.

They would probably screw that up though and make him 2nd in command or something.  Then we would have the same old Xavier.

I'm actually really happy to see Gorilla Man on here. Him and the Thing would be awesome working together. I want the Hulk on here and Hank Pym so it can go back to the original guys , but those 2 will make up for some of the Hulk's manpower. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Cable on the team. Just think about it. This team has a missing bad ass slot.

 I'd actually like to see Cyclops on the team. He's commanded the x-Men and dark ops with X-Force, and he is the only one around who truly wants mankind and mutantkind to coexist. He'd be a great leader or at least, learn some valuable leadership from cap. But then again, Cyclops knows better than anyone how to truly forge the powers of the individuals of a team to work together, something I've never seen Cap truly do. Cap inspires, Cyclops LEADS.

Since the NFL is the national passion these days how about a return of NFL Superpro. Z list hero right here.

I demand the return of D-Man!!!! 

Okay....maybe no...I'd really like to see one of the Fantastic Four transplant into the Avengers, and by one of them I mean Benjamin J. Grimm, Reed and Sue pretty much are the cornerstone of the FF team, but The Thing...well he's shown in the past that's he's kinda of flexible with team memberships.  She-Hulk could once again take his place on the FF...or someone else...preferably a bruiser... 

Spider-Man does not need to be on the team, nor should Wolverine...those two were cool to see for a time, but they just aren't Avengers type...

Bring Beast back to the Avengers fold, and ya know give him a sense of humor again...I mean he used to be the bounding blue beast one of Wonder-Man's best friends. 

I do agree that a "reformed" villain belongs on the team, though that's what the Thunderbolts are for, Ares could work, but 2 gods on one team...not always the best idea.  The Hulk doesn't belong on the team, I'm sorry, he's not a team member type...

Squirrel-Girl can join the Avengers...  I mean the one person Dr. Doom fears, the woman that Deadpool claims is the biggest threat to the Marvel Universe...

Avengers:  Bucky-Cap, Thor, Iron-Man (or War Machine, or Iron Pepper Potts, somone needs to be rocking the armor), Beast, Thing, Speedball, maybe one of the Young Avengers (Stature, I mean that coverrs the gorwing/shrinking superhero), Ms. Marvel and Tigra  (What?  I like Tigra).

Luke Cage and Iron Fist need to drop the whole Avengers schtick, I want them back in the Heroes For Hire (I loved John Ostrander and Pasqual Ferry's work on the title...especially in the beginning, I loved the panicky narrator...hehehe), with White Tiger, Black Knight, Herules, Ant-Man and the original Human Torch.

Betenoire...NFL Super-Pro...definitely for the win...I'm totally on board with that.  If he can't find a home there...the Great Lake Avengers always could use another hand.

I'd like to see a number of things, BUT I think for a while it might be cool to narrow it down to the bare essentials,

Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Cap (bucky)

give them all a chance to build a repotoire after all the $hit that has gone down in the last 7 years. And get to know each other

If that ain't gonna happen, I really like the lineup on that Heroic age poster. It was a nice mix of heavy hitter, and randoms (PLUS I love Spidey as an Avenger) and NO wolverine!

ULTRON, hasn't been out of the picture , For about 6-7 issues last year he made the Mighty Avengers life a living hell, and kicked their a$$es all over the map

I'd like to see one of the Initiative Avengers promoted up to the big leagues!  It's be nice for them to show the progress of a new recruit now 'playing with the big boys'.  I know they want to move forward after with the Heroic Age, but by having an Initiative member in the ranks would be a great way to acknowledge the last few years.

Spider-Man as an Avenger has been a blast.  I hope he's on the new team but given the events in ASM lately if he doesn't make the new team I'll be alright.

Hulk on the team is a great dynamic.  Yeah, he a terrific asset, unitl he goes crazy.  But again there's too much going on with the Hulk right now for him to be an Avenger.

I can't wait for this series to start.  The 'building the roster/recruiting' issues are always a blast.

If we're going offbeat, I want to see Rom: Spaceknight and Howard the Duck on the team
