McG Confirmed for TERMINATOR SALVATION

Clint over at Moviehole published a story earlier about confirming McG for the directing job on TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS. Well, we can confirm it's true because we got an email a few hours ago stating that McG finally won the job as the day began. Warner Bros. hopes to get production under way in early 2008 and has it set for a theatrical release in 2009. The email also mentions that Claire Danes and Nick Stahl will not be returning for this fourth film.

This fourth film will reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-movie span. The film is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind.

As a side note:  This is not related to the Terminator story or production but I'll add it into the story. It seems that the screenwriter Michael Ferris (Terminator 3, Terminator Salvation) wants to help people outside of Hollywood looking to break in...The scribe has created a website called Your Insider where you can submit scripts and shortfilms..He will help your work get noticed be studio executives, agencies and managers.

As I say, this has nothing to do with the upcoming Terminator films so don't turn in a Terminator story concept expecting anything. Still, the screenwriter Ferris is willing to help your work get noticed if you want to break into the scene.

Why did it have to be McG?
Why oh why. What did we do to deserve this?

This is the Terminator I want to see. I was getting tired of him going to the past trying to disrupt the future. I'm up for this trilogy.

I guess McG was chosen because Uwe Boll was unavailable for some reason.

Can you picture the teaser trailer?

"FROM THE DIRECTOR...OF CHARLIE'S ANGELS"

Couldn't Doug Limon or Len Wiseman get this gig?

yeah yeah... jump on the McG bashing bandwagon....
I'd much rather have McG directing this than Brett Ratner "from the Director of X-Men 3!" LOL
get Renny Harlin to direct he's much better at action flicks than Uwe Boll or McG or Brett Ratner

Time travel must be real because I can already smell the pile of crap McG is about to lay with this movie.

What the fuck kind of a name is McG, anyway?
Sounds like some loser cloned from the DNA of a rapper and a fucking Happy Meal...

I don't care anymore. And unfortunately for me...even though i hat McG, I have to admit that I like Chuck. The characters are well developed, as well, the writing and casting is very good.

Really, Chuck is the best new show of the new season. Damn!!!
