It seems nothing will stop the newly coupled Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan from teaming up again after their Planet Terror effort. For the past year, they've been trying to get a remake of the cult classic Barbarella off the ground with McGowan set to play the lead character. Due to the WGA strike and rumors that the studio didn't like the budget, that film eventually fell back to development hell.
Now, USA Today is reporting that the duo will partner up for a revival of Robert E. Howard's Red Sonja franchise. The last we heard was that Millennium Films had the project on their fast-tracking list right alongside a Conan the Barbarian remake. At the time of the announcement, David N. White was set to be the screenwriter.
