While attending the U.K premiere of Speed Racer, Empire Online had a chance to shoot some questions at Sir Ian McKellen in regards to the latest Hobbit news. The actor confirmed his meeting with new director Guillermo del Toro.

"Yes, it's true.
I spoke to Guillermo in the very room that Peter Jackson offered me the part and he confirmed that I would be reprising the role. Obviously, it's not a part that you turn down, I loved playing Gandalf."

The actor also mentioned that he won't likely be returning for the Magneto spin-off since it's centering around a teenager version of the character. Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson will set to work on the script of The Hobbit: Part 1 and Part 2 in six weeks, around the same time that Del Toro's Hellboy II is hitting theaters.

McKellen reprising his role in Hobbit? Well THAT's a relief! The next news must be that Hugo Weaving will put on his ears for Elrond again. I can't think of another face for the elf. Both actors are essential for the success of the movies.

I hope they will change the story a little (more) so the movie won't be stuff for children anymore.

Haha. That's good news. Buy free Viagra at this new site then go to this site to me hot local girls...Erm.

Oh, I know this is off topic but I thought that everyone who's going to see Iron Man will read this rather than any old Iron Man news. But word is that Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury is still in the movie but not till the end credits. Unfortunately I couldn't resist reading the spoiler but let me tell you just reading the scene made me crap my Iron Man underoos. I had to go and dig them out of the closet first and put them on but I still crapped them.

So, stay after the credits. Don't forget to ask the hot girl behind you with the huge boyfriend to give you a back massage.

Hah, who am I kidding there aren't going to be any girls going to see it. Well, I know one hot one that's up for it...just not with me. Not that I asked her, don't like her anyway.

Yes, now if they can only get Josh Howard to do a cameo lighting up with Gandalf, this film would be complete. Kimbo Slice is also needed to play a dwarf. Come on Guillermo, get to it son!

Good news! I don`t really any interest in seeing a Magneto spin-off with or without hi. Of all the awesome characters in the Marvel Universe and even just the X-men mythos, it doesn't make sense why they would pick Magneto for a spin-off movie. Yes, he is pretty much their ultimate villain and he`s been around since the X-men were created but so was Doctor Doom in FF and I don`t need to see a spin -off of him. Maybe I`m soured because I read comics most of my life and a movie could never do the justice that a comic does for origin stories of these guys. It`ll come off really cheesy. Him as a kid in a concentration camp, eventually escaping, having two kids, twins, running into Charles Xavier, etc, etc, working to together, until they realize their ideologies are different, yadda yadda yadda, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, the end.

Never tell a girl that you're a servant of a secret fire, she wont get it.

Wow, Ponyboy, that idea sounds pretty good to me. It never occurred to me that they might include Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the movie version of young Magneto. I'd love to see that onscreen. That kind of idea could also use the older version played by McKellan where he would have some kind of confrontation with his adult kids.
Pony, have a script treatment on my desk by the end of the month and we'll start shopping for directors.

Like there was going to be any doubt. I'll be happy when the contract is sighed and dried.

Like everyone else, I'm glad it's official. Naturally, they need so sign everyone else etc etc etc. What would really be cool is if John Rhys-Davies played Gloin (wasn't that his name?), but with different make-up so he doesn't look exactly the same.
