Toy Maniac: Open the Exclusive Figure? - Jul 03, 2008 - 02:43pm
whoah... such hostilities...I'm still waiting for my charbroiled aunt Beru and Uncle Owen remains! Whats the deal with that? Too gristly? what about Char Broiled Anakin Skywalker with removable facemask and a sound clip that screams "NOOOOOOO!!"I'm not a geek... Hell, by the time I get to San Diego I dont go for any big bulky toys, I search out those ellusive comic book pages from my fav artists or $500+ animation cels or sketches from Heavy Metal or The Simpsons Movie. i actually found a pencil drawing (Authentic storyboard) of Bart standing next to Milhouse for $50! how friggin cool was that? its not colored but its not a photocopy either, the photocopies were also $50!!
Bale Will Bail if Robin Shows in KNIGHT Sequel - Jul 03, 2008 - 08:07am
while I'll agree its too early for Robin to show up, i think you're all missing the bigger picture just because Joel's Batman ficks are so widely despised by everybody.
1) Robin IS an established part of the Batman history, theres no getting around that.
2) so is Batgirl.
the words that I have to stress are "...IF DONE CORRECTLY" sure, why hate on Robin if its done correctly and properly, and Nolan is just the man to do it.
Dont forget, Robin was first introduced because the symbol of Batman was scaring kids and he brought on a sidekick to tell the people he could kick ass on the criminals but the good citizens of Gotham had nothing to fear from Batman.
In a sense, Batman got a bit of bad Public Relations and needed Robin to make people believe in him and his cause.
Mania Manifesto: Top 5 “Inspirations” for Wall-E - Jul 01, 2008 - 10:27pm
"Who's Johnny?" I always thought that was refferencing Jack Nicholson from the Shining.
and speaking of The Shining, a loney guy goes nuts in a haunted hotel and kills his family...or tries to.
in Wall-E, a lonely robot goes nuts on a haunted planet and kills his fembot... or tries to.
you know.. We can continue making absurd comparisons to other stranger sci/fi movies that are closer to Wall-E than Blade Runner and Castaway or we can just simply review the movie.
right? RIGHT?
