Sometimes brilliant, sometimes... not... action film director John McTiernan is in talks to direct a "crime drama" hopefully nothing like his last released film, February's ROLLERBALL.
The project, called BOOSTER, is based on a book by Eugene Izzi and centers on a thief who (echo... echo...) comes out of retirement for one last, big heist. BOOSTER is being produced by Intermedia Films, for which McTiernan has just finished shooting BASIC, staring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. That film, set for release next year, has Travolta investigating the disappearance of a famous Army Ranger (Jackson).
