Media Blasters Delays Numerous Releases

By Chris Beveridge     July 21, 2010

Magic Knight Rayearth Season 2 Remastered Set
© Media Blasters

Media Blasters has sent out notice of a number of delays across all their labels today with some of the dates getting pushed back into October. Some titles from June that never made it out are finally being scheduled and unlike some previous delays that we saw from Media Blasters, we're at least getting new dates for this titles and not a To Be Announced tag associated with them.

and media blasters wonder why their sales stink- its because of delays like this- i'm stunned that kanokon hasn't been added to this list

I remember back during the so-called "Golden Age" of America's licensing of anime...

You know; that time when NuTech came out and basically flooded the aisles with English-dubbed adult anime.  That era before the company played the licensees like SUCKAZ?

I remembered when anime licensors actually DELIVERED.

There was none of these DELAYS, no "dubbing what we want" like "Snickering..." is doing now, no "borderline pedophilia" (Kodomo no Jikan), no "yellow down the back" over the lack of investment in English dubbing (Nozomi / Stuf?  Emma and Maria?  Bueller?), and no "licking the boots" of someone who animates better (everything between Key, Kadokawa, and KyotoAnimu).

Bittersweet times, but those were the days.  \_(-_-);
