Cyberbilly, alot of voice work-whether commercials, narration, cartoon voices- is done long distance. An actor can be picked from a demo reel or a submission done for a specific job and the fee is set with the agent. The work can be completely done from long distance. Weaving can walk into a studio Down Under and from direction given to him from a studio in California from Bay he can read his individual lines in a few hours and be out the door and onto other things without ever having met or knowing the full details of the project. It is a common practice. Some actors make an extremely good living doing this and their faces are never seen on TV or theaters.
True, Weaving probably could have sounded more diplomatic in his remarks, but he just happened to be caught at a very truthful moment. It was just a job to him, like being asked to say this soda, or this gasoline is the best for you. Do the job, go about your buisness, and wait for the checks to come in.

Then you are a fool.
