It just doesn't matter to me how actors act in real life. I think most, if not all of them are weird. So I can't base any of my decisions to watch their movies on their real life actions.

Mel does GREAT work. I always loved his movies and I would love to see this viking film get made. I remember that quite some time ago DiCaprio was offered the lead in it and turned it down (or something to that affect). Just keep working on it Mel and bring us a great, bloody movie. We'll see it.

There was a fun "viking" movie that infused an alien, which was cool, called Outlander.

Yeah, not too many options that I know of.

Mel Gibson's movies are always awesome. He was going through some real tough crap when he had his melt-down, especially from the Jewish community, due to their belief that POTC was an anti-semitic film (come on!)... I'm sure that he had a ton of pent-up frustration towards the religion at that time.

Ironically, the movie, Outlander, I just mentioned, stars Jim Caviezel!

Currently shooting for the History Channel is a Viking TV series called , well "Vikings". It isn't a documentary but a scripted drama. Here is the IMDB summary:

Vikings follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the sagas of Ragnar's band of Viking brothers and his family, as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods, legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.

And the History Channel summary:

 According to History, the series will “will boast a polished, stylized look that pushes the boundaries of television drama” highlighted by “imaginatively choreographed battles that emphasize individual points of view, strategies and ruses rather than mindless, graphic slaughter.”

It will debut sometime next year. I really want to see this.

so far has been the best viking movie i have seen.

Good story, lots of blood. watch it.

They should dub the Berserker's lines with the Mel rant to his ex-girlfriend

I love Mel, wether or not he is racist...I know at times when I have been so pissed off and seeing red I have said things that I did not even come close to meaning so I can forgive him, just like those who have forgiven me for saying racist remarks...I will not be watching this though, and why would I after seeing them all with Gibson and Glover, they are lethal weapon and I just don't see anyone else taking the place of these two men and still have it be the fun entertainment that it is...I don't know, maybe I am wrong but that's me so be it...

My suggestion for LW 5 would be bring back Chris Rock in his character. Have Glover make a cameo role as himself, Riggs could have finally moved on and retired out east somewhere. Or perhaps better even. Riggs gets murdered and Murttouh is retired now. Chris Rock's character is now a lead detective on the force and gets teamed with a new partner played by the guy who did Murdock in A Team. He does crazy really well.

The two of them pursue the murderers finding out the killers are none other than a revenge group from the organization they took down in LW2. Something like that. Chris Rock could definately pull it off and it would bring some continuity to the story line.

Their is the Kirk Douglas movie called The Viking. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. I remember it being pretty good at the time. Cool battle at the end. I think its in blu ray also.
