Bandai has sent out their August solicitation information and it's somewhat of a surprise in one way and yet not in another. The main surprise is that there were no announced delays for titles from previous months, so everything is potentially on track to arrive when they've said it will. The other way things are not a surprise is that there's only one title announced for this month, but it's a bit one with the second season of the Haruhi series dropping for fans.
The release gives us the second season in one collection on four discs with an additional CD that contains the Super Driver and Tomare! tracks from the opening and closing songs. Numerous extras are being included in the release from both the Japanese and US side as well, giving it a similar feel to what we saw with the first season.

I'm still hesitant about buying this considering the whole Endless Eight BS (not to mention my bitterness towards Bandai itself after the decision not to dub the Lucky Star OVA). And a $65 MSRP with 8 episodes that are almost exactly the same...man that's gonna be a tough sell.
But if the extras are worth it and the dub is as good as the first season...

something tells me that this title might be one of bandai's last breaths. with so many different problems in title delays i'm surprised they have lasted this long
