Melissa George Updates STOPPING POWER

Last month, Variety reported that International Media pulled the plug on the Jan De Bont action-thriller STOPPING POWER, three days into the shoot after losing the funding. Apparently, things have changed since that time..Actress Melissa George told Comingsoon that production for the film is back on for a March re-start date while speaking at the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT press conference. It's safe to assume she's still attached to the project but we won't know whether John Cusack is still attached until later in the week.
"It’s back on! First of March. Three days into filming, we were in Berlin, they cancelled the film. It worked out so good, because I’m busy doing other things, and I could come back to shoot HBO and I’m going away next Christmas, and then the strike happens next year, so I’m going to go away in March and do this. Look, anything can change, but it’s on. It has to be on."
Plot Concept: A criminal on the run steals an RV with a young girl inside, then forces the girl's father to participate in his getaway by acting as a decoy for the police.
