Word has come quite late of the recent demise of character actor Robert Dunham.
Dunham is known as the one American actor who turned up prominently in a number of Toho's science fiction films of the 60s-70s. Often depicted as being somewhat garrulous, Dunham's notable appearances were in such films as DAGORA, THE SPACE MONSTER (probably his best role), MOTHRA, THE GREEN SLIME and GODZILLA VS. MEGALON.
Dunham, a stunt driver and ex-harbormaster, also wrote and directed his own films, including the science fiction film, THE TIME TRAVELERS (1966; shot in Japan).
Dunham, who was discovered dead from a stroke in his Florida home on August 3rd, was 70 years old.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
